Freight factoring companies compared

Of 17 factoring companies we checked, 4 publish a rate for carriers on their own site; the rest don't state one on the pages we read. Every cell below links the page it came from, or says "not published". Source: each company's website, read 2026-10-25.

These are the companies' marketing claims, not contract terms. Your contract is what you'll be held to. We have no paid relationship with any company on this page. Rankings are not for sale. See how we make money.

Questions

What are freight factoring rates?

The rates companies publish run from 1.5% (Porter Freight Funding, intro) to 3%, or $150 to $300 on $10,000 of invoices before payout fees. Only 4 of the 17 companies we checked publish a rate at all.

Which factoring companies work with new authorities?

Apex Capital, eCapital, OTR Solutions, Riviera Finance, RTS Financial and Thunder Funding say on their own sites that they take new authorities or startups. None of the pages we read gives a minimum authority age. What each one says.

Which factoring companies have no long-term contract?

Apex Capital, eCapital, Outgo, Riviera Finance and Saint John Capital say so on their sites (no long-term, no annual or no lock-in contract). Read the signed agreement anyway: it's what you'll be held to.

Which factoring companies offer a fuel card?

Apex Capital, Denim, eCapital, Love's Financial, OTR Solutions, Porter Freight Funding, RTS Financial, Saint John Capital, Triumph and WEX Capital mention a fuel card or fuel discounts on their sites. The terms differ; some discounts only work at in-network stations.

What is the best factoring company for owner-operators?

We don't rank them, and no company pays to be listed. The table shows what each one publishes on rate, advance, recourse, reserve, contract and leaving, so you can compare the terms that matter to you.
