How we check
Every figure on this site comes from a source we link on the same page, with the date we read it. The newest data is FMCSA's ELD lists, dated Oct 24, 2026.

ELD status
- Registered: the device is on FMCSA's registered list. FMCSA publishes no registration date; providers self-certify their devices.
- Revoked by FMCSA: on the revoked list with status "Revoked". We match it to FMCSA's removal notice by ELD ID plus company or device name (ELD IDs alone aren't unique), and a date within 10 days. If FMCSA reinstated a device and later removed it again, the later removal wins. The replace-before date is the one in that notice; if the notice gave none, we use the date in FMCSA's out-of-service notice. We never compute a date ourselves. 1 FMCSA-revoked device has no matching notice and say so.
- Withdrawn by provider: on the revoked list as "Self Revoked". FMCSA usually gives no reason or date for these. We still run them through the notice matcher (90 days before to 120 days after the withdrawal), because FMCSA sometimes names a withdrawn device in a removal notice; when it does, the page shows that notice and its dates. A withdrawn device is never shown as registered.
- ELD IDs are short codes and different companies sometimes use the same one. When a registered device shares a revoked device's ELD ID, the revoked page links to it and says whether it's the same company. We only call a revoked device "back on the list" when the maker, ELD ID and model all match a registered entry and FMCSA hasn't removed it again since.
- "Replace before" is the date in FMCSA's notice. Its notices say to replace the device before that date, and drivers still using it on or after it are put out of service.
- Every device page shows the date of FMCSA's list and links to it. Check FMCSA's list before acting on a revoked status.
Which pages search engines see
Device pages for registered devices with no history beyond FMCSA's row, and providers with a single registered device and no revocations, are marked noindex and left out of the sitemap. They stay linked and searchable here.
Calculators
- Form 2290: looks up the IRS table cell; it does no arithmetic of its own except multiplying by the number of trucks.
- Factoring cost: rate times volume, plus flat fees, aging charges and any monthly minimum. Presets use only rates a company publishes for itself.
- Deadlines: IFTA dates follow R960 (last day of the following month, moved off weekends). Holidays vary by state and are not computed.
What we leave out
Anything we can't trace to a source. Review scores (Trustpilot blocked automated reads), prices behind sign-ups, and general "industry range" rates that a company doesn't claim as its own.
