Is ELDKIT FMCSA approved?
FMCSA doesn't approve ELDs: makers self-certify them, and FMCSA lists them as registered. ELDKIT (ELD ID ERS163) is on FMCSA's registered ELD list dated Oct 27, 2026, the list 49 CFR 395.22(a) says carriers must pick from.
How do I tell if my ELD is this ELDKIT?
Match the ELD ID on your screen to ERS163 and check that your app is on version 2.27.14 or above.. FMCSA lists each model and software version separately, and one maker can have one version registered and another revoked.
